Backpacks for Hunting Desert Tan Rucksack Combo

Description

This combo gives you two packs for one price: a large roll-top rucksack for camp loads and a compact vertical sling for the hunt itself. Leave the big bag at the truck or spike camp and take the sling out for a short sit or a quick stalk.

What stands out

• Large roll-top rucksack that expands to fit the load
• Compact vertical sling pack for light, fast trips from camp
• MOLLE webbing for game bags, pouches or hydration carriers
• Compression straps and bungee lacing to cut noise and load movement
• Padded harness and back panel on the rucksack
• Six color options, including a desert tan

Where it fits, and where it doesn’t

It suits hunters who run a base camp or spike camp and want a matching small bag for day trips. The sling carries on one shoulder, so it is meant for short outings, not all-day hauling. If you only need the sling, the coyote brown tactical sling pack is a standalone option. For a single large pack with a hip belt for desert country, see the multi-day desert expedition pack.

Field tips

• Set up the sling as a grab-and-go bag with your day essentials, so heading out from camp takes seconds.
• Roll the top of the rucksack at least two or three times before buckling to keep rain out.
• Use the rucksack’s compression straps to stop a partly full bag from sagging and swinging.
