Hunting Backpack for Multi-Day Backcountry Expeditions

Description

This hunting backpack is an extra-large camo pack for multi-day elk, deer and wilderness hunts. A suspension system spreads the load across hips and shoulders, and a full MOLLE platform lets you place pouches, a rifle scabbard or game bags exactly where you want them.

What stands out

• Extra-large capacity for camp gear, meat and outerwear
• Suspension that shares the load between hips and shoulders
• Extensive external MOLLE platform
• Compression straps that shrink the pack when the load is light
• External bungee lashing for a wet layer or spotting tripod
• Reinforced seams and abrasion-resistant nylon

Where it fits, and where it doesn’t

It is built for deep-country trips and heavy pack-outs. For stand hunting and day trips it is more pack than you need. For a front-panel-loading pack with internal dividers, see the multi-day pack with full-front zipper. For an internal-frame XL pack with a sleeping bag compartment and hydration port, compare the backcountry XL MOLLE pack.

Field tips

• Load heavy gear high and close to your back. Put the sleeping bag at the bottom.
• Adjust the hip belt first, then the shoulder straps, so the suspension carries the weight properly.
• Weave MOLLE pouches through alternating rows for a quiet, solid fit.
