Description

This MOLLE backpack is built around tackle storage. A front-loading zippered compartment holds four orange tackle trays that slide out like drawers, and a side-mounted rod carrier keeps a rod protected on the walk in. It is black polyester, also offered in a blue and black camouflage.

What stands out

Four slide-out tackle trays in a drawer-style front compartment
Side-mounted rod carrier
MOLLE grid for extra pouches
Multiple zippered compartments for terminal tackle, leaders and small tools
Top carry handle

Where it fits, and where it doesn’t

It is first and foremost a fishing and tackle pack for bank, pier and kayak anglers. Hunters who also fish can use the trays for broadheads, calls and small parts. If you want a pack mainly for saddle hunting, a dedicated day pack such as the army green tactical saddle daypack will serve you better. For a tube-style pack that carries a bow or rods, see the archery and tackle bow holder pack.

Field tips

Label the tackle trays by use so you can grab the right one fast.
Use the rod carrier for one rod at a time, and secure it before walking through cover.
Rinse and dry the trays after saltwater trips to prevent corrosion on hooks and lures.
