Waterproof Duck Hunting Backpack in Realtree Camo

Description

This waterproof duck hunting backpack is a large top-loader for waterfowlers who haul a lot: waders, layers, blind materials and camp supplies. It is covered in a woodland camo pattern of leaf, bark and branch detail in browns, tans and olives that blends into flooded timber and field edges.

What stands out

• Tall top-loading main compartment with a drawstring collar and floating lid
• External zippered pockets for calls, shells and small tools
• Rugged Oxford fabric that sheds dew, marsh splash and passing showers
• Mesh-padded shoulder harness and back panel for airflow on the walk in
• Adjustable sternum strap and load lifters that pull heavy loads in close
• Wide nylon webbing, quick-release buckles and ladder attachment points for external gear

Where it fits, and where it doesn’t

It is built for big waterfowl loads and multi-day trips in wet country. A drawstring top-loader keeps rain and splash out, but it is not a submersible dry bag. If your pack rides in a boat or kayak where it could go under, the roll-top dry bag hunting backpack is the safer choice. For a large pack with an internal frame and MOLLE, see the backcountry XL MOLLE pack.

Field tips

• Pack waders and heavy items at the bottom and against your back, and blind materials and layers on top.
• Line the main compartment with a heavy trash bag for an extra layer of water protection in a boat.
• Tighten the sternum strap and load lifters before a long walk out so a wet, heavy load doesn’t pull you backward.
