Hunter X Hunter Backpack for Tactical Hunting Expeditions

Description

This extra-large tactical expedition pack has one large main bay for bulky layers and camp gear, vertically stacked front compartments for smaller items, and MOLLE webbing across the outside for extra pouches. It comes in black, army green or khaki.

What stands out

• Large main compartment for overnight camp gear, layers and a field dressing kit
• Stacked front compartments that keep emergency supplies, food and ammunition separate
• MOLLE webbing for pouches, holsters or hydration carriers
• Reinforced strap points that can anchor a rifle or bow tube with the right attachment
• Synthetic fabric that resists moisture and abrasion, with heavy-duty zippers and buckles

Where it fits, and where it doesn’t

It is built for multi-day public-land hunts and waterfowl trips where you carry a lot of gear. It has no built-in weapon holder, so a rifle or bow needs a scabbard or straps fixed to the webbing. For a pack with a frame and top-loading design, see the olive drab XL frame backpack. For a big MOLLE pack with an internal frame and hydration port, compare the backcountry XL MOLLE pack.

Field tips

• Keep emergency gear, such as first aid, a headlamp and fire starter, in one front compartment and always put it back in the same place.
• When you add a rifle or bow to the webbing, test the attachment with a full load before heading out.
• Cinch all external straps and tuck the tails so they don’t slap in the wind.
